The City of Carlsbad is seeking a qualified consultant to prepare the 2026 Village, Barrio, and Beach Area Parking Study for the Community Development Department, Planning Division. The selected firm will update the prior year’s study by collecting parking inventory data, conducting one weekday and one weekend parking survey during the peak summer season, and analyzing parking utilization, capacity, conditions, and observed parking behaviors across the study area. The work also includes producing a commensurate parking study using the 2025 study as a template, delivering editable report files, raw data, GIS shapefiles/geodatabases, and an accessible final PDF. The consultant will participate in a kick-off meeting and any needed follow-up meetings, provide meeting minutes as needed, and deliver all work products in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS-compatible formats through the city’s secure document transfer process.
