Actuarial Review of Workers Compensation Funds
The State of Washington Office of the Washington State Auditor is seeking qualified vendors to conduct an actuarial review of workers’ compensation funds in compliance with state law requirements. The selected contractor will perform an independent actuarial assessment and provide an actuarial opinion to support the annual audit of the Department of Labor and Industries’ financial statements. The work includes evaluating financial data, estimating liabilities, reviewing premium structures, and assessing loss and expense reserves. The contractor’s findings will be used by the State Auditor to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and statutory requirements. This engagement requires specialized actuarial expertise to analyze complex insurance fund data and support audit reporting. The contract is expected to begin in July 2026 with potential extensions. Bidders must demonstrate technical capability, provide detailed pricing, and submit proposals in accordance with state procurement procedures.
