Adobe Reservoir Surface and Groundwater Storage and Flow Enhancement Feasibility Study
The County of Lake is seeking qualified consultants to conduct a comprehensive feasibility study focused on enhancing surface water storage, groundwater recharge, and environmental stream flows associated with the Adobe Reservoir and Adobe Creek system. The study aims to evaluate potential modifications to the reservoir structure, size, and operational strategies to improve water storage capacity and support ecological sustainability, particularly for the endangered Clear Lake Hitch species. The selected firm will perform research, field monitoring, structural and flow analysis, sediment sampling, and equipment calibration. Additionally, the consultant will develop engineering designs, operational recommendations, and a detailed feasibility plan. The scope also includes procurement of necessary equipment and facilitating community engagement through meetings and outreach activities. The project will be managed by the Lake County Watershed Protection District in collaboration with multiple stakeholders, requiring coordination, reporting, and presentation of findings to support informed decision-making and long-term water resource management strategies.
