WHAT THEY WANT

(Summarized from the RFP)

The City of Stockton is seeking a qualified firm or team to design an entrepreneurial public market in the vacant 15,000-square-foot ground-floor commercial shell of the Arena Garage at 310 W. Fremont Street, a 600-space garage built in 2006 beside the downtown waterfront's Adventist Health Arena, Banner Island Ballpark, Weber Point Events Center and the Stockton Memorial Civic Auditorium. With support from a U.S. Small Business Administration grant, the City wants the space to incubate local food, beverage, artisanal retail and possibly indoor recreation businesses that can draw on more than half a million annual venue visitors.
