Ceasefire Community Violence Intervention And Support Services
The City of Portland is seeking qualified community-based organizations to deliver Community Violence Intervention (CVI) and support services as part of its Ceasefire Community Response Program. This initiative is aligned with the City’s Gun Violence Reduction Strategy, which focuses on individuals at the highest risk of involvement in firearm violence. The selected contractors will provide intensive case management, cognitive behavioral therapy, workforce development programming, and hospital-based intervention services. The program emphasizes data-driven identification, coordinated intervention, and sustained engagement to prevent shootings, reduce retaliation, and improve long-term outcomes for participants. Services include street outreach, crisis response, behavioral health support, and connection to education and employment resources. The City aims to reduce firearm-related incidents, improve participant stability, and enhance community safety through evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches. Contractors will collaborate closely with public safety agencies and community partners to ensure alignment with the broader violence reduction strategy.
