WHAT THEY WANT

(Summarized from the RFP)

The City of Santa Clara Public Works Department is seeking a qualified firm to provide design and engineering services for the Fire Station Security Improvements project at Fire Stations 1, 3, 4, and 8. This is a re-advertisement of the solicitation. The project will enhance site security by designing new perimeter fencing and gates that reduce unauthorized access and safeguard fire facilities, apparatus, equipment, and personnel while preserving uninterrupted emergency response operations. Construction will be prioritized in the order Fire Station 8, then Stations 3, 4, and 1. The project is funded through Measure I, a general obligation bond approved by Santa Clara voters in November 2024, and is subject to its use-of-funds and oversight provisions.
