The El Dorado County Water Agency is seeking qualified consultants to conduct an appraisal study for the proposed Alder Creek Reservoir and Conservation Project. This study aims to evaluate the feasibility, benefits, and federal interest in developing a multi-benefit water storage and conservation system in El Dorado County, California. The project includes potential reservoir construction, water-diversion infrastructure, and hydropower generation facilities designed to enhance water-supply reliability, flood control, environmental sustainability, and energy production. The selected consultant will assess project alternatives, conduct benefit-cost and environmental analyses, and develop appraisal-level cost estimates.
