Division Street State Route 536 Bridge Feasibility and Planning Study Project
The City of Mount Vernon is seeking qualified consultants to provide architectural and engineering professional services for a comprehensive feasibility and planning study of the Division Street and State Route 536 bridge over the Skagit River. The study aims to evaluate long-term transportation needs, identify viable alternatives, and support future capital improvement planning for the bridge. The selected consultant will conduct multidisciplinary assessments including engineering analysis, land use review, and environmental considerations, along with stakeholder engagement and public outreach. The project includes alternatives analysis such as bridge renovation, replacement, new construction, or non-motorized crossings, with evaluation based on cost, feasibility, and regulatory requirements. Deliverables include conceptual designs, planning-level cost estimates, and funding strategies. The study will also align with the City’s comprehensive plan update and support coordination with state and federal agencies for future project development.
