WHAT THEY WANT
(Summarized from the RFP)
San Diego County's Department of Strategy and Community Engagement, through its Community Action Partnership, is seeking a contractor to coordinate the county-wide Earned Income Tax Credit campaign delivered each tax season by the San Diego County EITC Coalition. The Coalition, formed in 2002 and led by United Way of San Diego and the County's Health and Human Services Agency alongside the IRS and 2-1-1 San Diego, brings together more than twenty local nonprofits that host Volunteer Income Tax Assistance sites offering free tax preparation to low- and moderate-income working families. The contractor will serve as the Coalition's operational backbone: planning the annual campaign, recruiting and training volunteers, supporting VITA sites, tracking data, and expanding the site network.
