The City of Alameda Public Works Department is seeking qualified consultants to provide civil engineering design services for the rehabilitation of approximately one mile of sanitary sewer mains located primarily within backyard easements. The project includes associated infrastructure such as manholes and lower sewer laterals, with the addition of new two-way cleanouts. The selected consultant will conduct comprehensive pre-design investigations including review of CCTV and GIS data, field inspections, geotechnical analysis, utility coordination, and topographic surveys. The scope also includes evaluating repair or replacement methods, preparing bid-ready construction drawings, developing detailed cost estimates, and updating technical specifications. This work supports the City’s long-term capital improvement program and regulatory compliance requirements under a consent decree aimed at reducing wet weather overflows.
