WHAT OTHERS ASKED

24 questions answered

▶

Does the County anticipate that construction of some projects will extend into the 2028 construction season?

Scope/requirements

▶

Who will be doing the engineering designs and what is the anticipated schedule for providing the consultants with 60% designs?

Scope/requirements

▶

Based on our review of the Example BAs and our understanding of BAs submitted for other projects with multiple locations, we assume two BAs are required. • One BA would be prepared for NMFS covering all work, listing those locations having potential to affect, and applying for coverage under the existing PBO Caltrans’ Routine Transportation-Management Activities Program in District 5. • One BA would be prepared for USFWS that includes all federally listed species including FYLF and CRLF, where those locations with potential to affect would be listed for each species respectively and coverage for the CRLF would be requested to be covered under the existing PBO for CRLF for Projects Funded or Approved under the Federal Highway Administration's Federal Aid Program. Can this assumption be confirmed?

Scope/requirements

Exhibit F includes Guidance for CRLF PBO application - and includes that surveyor details are required. Based on the PBO, focused CRLF surveys are required only if determined necessary when work begins, and for the BA information from visual surveys from site visits are sufficient at the 20 locations (excluding North Rodeo Gulch Rd PM 3.77 - 15J9(062) and Redwood Lodge Rd PM 2.02 - 15J9(100), which do not have PES documents in Exhibit D, and are listed as no BA needed in Exhibit C) requiring PBO coverage. Can this assumption be confirmed?

Scope/requirements

▶

Exhibit F notes the FYLF survey protocol includes up to 8 visual surveys approx. 14 days apart between March and November. The contract is anticipated to start December 2026 and surveys cannot begin until March 1, 2027. Total time for surveys may exceed 16 weeks if cancellations occur due to weather conditions. Draft BAs anticipated April 1, 2027, and final BAs May 1, 2027. We assume surveys will be performed concurrent to BA preparation, and final FYLF survey information will not be included in draft BAs and may not be included in the final BAs dependent on timing. Can this assumption be confirmed?
