Family Preservation Services in Region 5
The State of Idaho Department of Health and Welfare is seeking a qualified contractor to deliver Family Preservation Services (FPS) in Region 5, covering multiple counties. The purpose of this program is to prevent children from being removed from their homes by providing intensive, short-term, in-home support services to families experiencing challenges such as behavioral health issues, trauma, or parenting difficulties. Services include crisis intervention, family counseling, parenting education, life-skills training, and coordination with community resources. The contractor will work closely with families, social service agencies, and the Department to stabilize family environments, promote reunification when children are in out-of-home placements, and improve long-term family functioning. The program emphasizes trauma-informed care, culturally responsive services, and flexible service delivery tailored to each family’s needs. The selected contractor will also be responsible for assessments, service planning, reporting, and ongoing collaboration with state caseworkers to ensure measurable outcomes and compliance with child welfare standards.
