Fentanyl Education and Naloxone Training Services
The County of Orange Health Care Agency is seeking qualified organizations to provide fentanyl education and naloxone training services across Orange County. The purpose of this initiative is to reduce opioid-related overdose deaths and improve public awareness of the risks associated with fentanyl and other emerging opioids. The selected contractor will conduct educational workshops, community outreach events, and structured training sessions on overdose prevention and naloxone administration. Services will include distributing naloxone, delivering culturally responsive education to diverse populations, and providing technical assistance to community partners. The program targets high-risk and underserved populations, including youth, individuals experiencing homelessness, and communities disproportionately affected by substance use disorders. The effort aims to build community capacity, increase knowledge of opioid misuse, and ensure wider access to life-saving interventions through coordinated public health strategies.
