Healthy Families America Home Visiting Services Maternal Infant and Early Childhood Home Visiting Program
Nevada County is seeking qualified community-based organizations to deliver Healthy Families America (HFA) home visiting services under the Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) Program. This federally funded initiative focuses on improving maternal and child health outcomes by providing voluntary, evidence-based home visiting services to pregnant individuals and families with children up to age five. The selected contractor will implement culturally responsive, family-centered services that promote healthy child development, strengthen parent-child relationships, and prevent child abuse and neglect. Responsibilities include conducting screenings and assessments, coordinating referrals to community resources, supporting prenatal and postnatal care, and maintaining accurate program data and reporting. The program also emphasizes collaboration with local agencies, outreach to at-risk populations, and continuous quality improvement. The contract may be awarded to one or more providers, with funding up to $975000 for an initial one-year term, with possible renewals.
