Information Technology Strategic Plan
The City of Richmond is seeking qualified consultants to develop a comprehensive five-year Information Technology Strategic Plan. The plan will serve as a guiding framework for managing, upgrading, and optimizing the City’s IT infrastructure, governance, cybersecurity, and staffing. The selected consultant will assess current systems, identify gaps, and recommend improvements aligned with the City’s operational and strategic goals. Key components include evaluating existing hardware, software, and network systems; conducting future IT needs analysis; developing governance frameworks; and creating a cybersecurity strategy. The project also involves assessing IT staffing, training needs, and budget allocation practices. Deliverables will include a current state assessment, gap analysis, and a forward-looking implementation roadmap with cost estimates. The strategic plan will function as a living document to support decision-making, improve service delivery, and ensure efficient use of technology resources across all City departments.
