Natural Gas Supply and Asset Management Agreement
The City of Ellensburg is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide natural gas supply and asset management services beginning July 1, 2026. The selected vendor will be responsible for managing natural gas procurement, transportation, storage optimization, pricing strategies, and daily operational support to ensure reliable and cost-effective service for the City’s customers. The scope includes scheduling and nominations, monitoring pipeline operations, responding to curtailments, optimizing storage assets such as Clay Basin and LNG facilities, and managing interruptible load opportunities. Vendors are also expected to assist with financial tracking, reporting, and identifying cost-saving opportunities through market strategies and asset optimization. The City aims to secure a long-term agreement that maximizes operational efficiency, reduces costs, and enhances transparency in procurement while ensuring consistent and reliable energy delivery to approximately 5,000 customers.
