Professional Services for 2025 Urban Water Management Plan
The City of Lakewood is seeking qualified consulting firms to prepare its 2025 Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) in compliance with California Water Code and Department of Water Resources requirements. The project involves evaluating current and projected water demands, analyzing potable and non-potable water supplies, and assessing long-term supply reliability under varying hydrological conditions through at least 2045. The selected consultant will also conduct a drought risk assessment, develop a water shortage contingency plan, and ensure regulatory compliance with applicable legislation. The scope includes data collection, technical analysis, report preparation, stakeholder coordination, and public engagement support. Deliverables include draft and final UWMP documents, presentations to City Council, and submission of the final plan to the California Department of Water Resources.
