Sacramento Fire Background Investigations
The City of Sacramento is seeking qualified contractors to provide professional pre-employment background investigation services for its Fire Department and other City positions. The selected contractor(s) will conduct comprehensive background checks on applicants, including collection of personal, legal, employment, and educational records, reference interviews, and detailed investigative reporting. Services also include administering or coordinating polygraph examinations, conducting in-depth applicant interviews, and ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The contractor will work closely with City personnel and provide updates, documentation, and final reports for each investigation. These services are required on an as-needed basis, with no guaranteed volume of work. The goal is to ensure thorough vetting of candidates to maintain safety, compliance, and operational integrity within the Fire Department and broader City workforce.
