The County of San Luis Obispo is seeking a qualified consultant or team to prepare the San Luis Obispo Valley Basin Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) 5-Year Periodic Evaluation and submit it to the California Department of Water Resources by January 26, 2027. The selected consultant will review the approved GSP, annual reports, and California Department of Water Resources guidance; assess whether the GSP is meeting sustainability objectives; and address five recommended corrective actions identified by the Department. The scope also includes coordination with County and Groundwater Sustainability Agency staff, development of draft and final evaluation documents, participation in meetings and working sessions, public outreach, and facilitation of a public workshop. The project is planned as a time-and-materials contract with a not-to-exceed amount of $200,000. The final work product must be uploaded to the Department of Water Resources SGMA portal and completed by the January 26, 2027 deadline.
