Santa Cruz County is seeking qualified consulting firms to provide on-call solid waste engineering and environmental consulting services to support its Recycling and Solid Waste Services Section. The selected consultants will assist with a range of projects over the next three to four years, including landfill monitoring, stormwater compliance, hydrogeological assessments, and landfill design updates. Services also include construction quality assurance for landfill systems, groundwater monitoring, environmental data analysis, and regulatory reporting. Additional responsibilities may involve supporting future solid waste infrastructure such as transfer stations and composting facilities, conducting environmental impact studies, and preparing remediation system designs. Consultants will be expected to provide technical expertise, regulatory compliance support, and reporting services while working closely with County staff. The County may award contracts to multiple firms for flexible, on-call support based on project needs.
