WHAT THEY WANT
(Summarized from the RFP)
The City of Vallejo is seeking proposals from a qualified law firm or individual attorney to serve as the Assigned Attorney to its Police Oversight and Accountability Commission under the City's Police Oversight and Accountability Ordinance (Title 18 of the Vallejo Municipal Code). The Assigned Attorney is appointed by the City Attorney with advice from the Commission and provides special counsel on police oversight and accountability matters, including Commission recommendations on police discipline. This is the City's second solicitation for the role; a Request for Qualifications issued in April 2026 did not produce a satisfactory candidate, and this RFP supersedes it with an expanded scope and a disclosed scoring methodology.
