The City of Santa Monica is seeking qualified consultants to provide architecture and assessment services for The Beach and Pier Needs Assessment Project. The project will serve as the initial phase of the City’s broader beach and pier vision planning initiative. The selected consultant will conduct a comprehensive analysis of community participation in recreation programs, arts programming, classes, camps, events, and informal public use activities occurring at the Santa Monica Beach and Pier. The assessment will identify both short-term and long-term priorities for capital improvements and program enhancements based on community interests and usage patterns. Findings from the assessment will guide future planning principles and implementation strategies for maintaining and improving beach and pier amenities. The City intends to use the study to support strategic investment decisions, improve recreational and cultural experiences, and establish a long-range vision for one of Santa Monica’s most significant public assets.
