Workforce Innovation And Opportunity Act Youth Program Activities And Services
The City of Anaheim Workforce Development Board is soliciting proposals from qualified organizations to deliver comprehensive youth services under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act for Program Year 2026–2027. The program is designed to support both in-school youth (ages 14–21) and out-of-school youth (ages 16–24), with a focus on preparing participants for postsecondary education, workforce training, and sustainable employment. Services include workforce preparation, paid work experience, occupational skills training, mentoring, and case management. At least 75% of funding must be allocated to out-of-school youth, and 20% must support paid work experience. The selected provider(s) will implement coordinated activities aligned with federal and state workforce development requirements, emphasizing career readiness, education attainment, and employment outcomes. Funding will be provided on a cost-reimbursement basis and may extend up to four years based on performance and availability of funds.
