2026 Quadrennial Geotechnical Support
Mendocino County Department of Transportation is seeking qualified geotechnical engineering firms to provide on-call geotechnical support services for County transportation and infrastructure projects. The selected consultant(s) will support roadway improvements, bridge maintenance and replacement, storm damage repair, and other public infrastructure initiatives through task-order-based assignments. Services include project management and coordination, geotechnical field exploration, soil borings, infiltration testing, laboratory testing, grading and foundation recommendations, retaining wall analysis, pavement recommendations, and preparation of preliminary geotechnical reports. The County intends to award one or more professional services agreements to firms capable of providing responsive and technically sound geotechnical engineering services in compliance with Caltrans Local Assistance Procedures Manual requirements and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Consultants must demonstrate experience supporting public agency infrastructure projects and the ability to deliver timely technical support for field-driven and time-sensitive assignments.
