Ambulance and First Responder Fee Billing Services
The City of Compton Fire Department is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide comprehensive ambulance and first responder fee billing services related to emergency medical services EMS. The selected contractor will manage the full billing and collections lifecycle for EMS transport and response services, including claims processing, accounts receivable management, patient invoicing, and follow-up on denied or unpaid claims. The contractor must ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations such as Medicare, Medi-Cal, HIPAA, and other applicable EMS billing requirements. Services also include financial reporting, revenue tracking, and integration with the City’s electronic health record systems. Additional responsibilities include supporting audits, maintaining data security standards, and assisting with California EMS reimbursement programs such as the Voluntary Rate Range Program, Intergovernmental Transfer program, and Public Provider Ground Emergency Medical Transport program. The selected vendor will also provide customer service support, multilingual patient assistance, and dispute resolution services.
