Architectural and Engineering Design Services for the Relocation of Fire Stations 3 and 6
The City of Vancouver is seeking qualified architectural and engineering consulting firms to provide comprehensive design services for the relocation and construction of two new fire stations—Fire Stations 3 and 6. The project involves planning, design, permitting, and construction administration for two approximately 16,000 square foot facilities on newly acquired properties. The new stations will replace aging and inadequate existing facilities that no longer meet modern building codes, operational needs, accessibility standards, or resiliency requirements. The selected consultant team will deliver full multidisciplinary design services including architectural programming, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, civil engineering, landscape design, interior design, permitting coordination, and construction support. The project emphasizes sustainability, seismic resilience, and firefighter health and safety, while adhering to the City’s green building policy. Additional responsibilities may include cost modeling, site planning, traffic engineering, geotechnical coordination, and support for stakeholder engagement. The project will be delivered using the General Contractor/Construction Manager delivery method and funded through voter-approved Proposition 2.
