Art Services for the Fresno Traffic Box Art Project 2026
The City of Fresno is seeking qualified artists and muralists to create original mural designs for its Fresno Box Art Pilot Project, a public art beautification initiative using traffic utility cabinets as vinyl-wrap canvases. The selected artwork will be installed on 14 cabinets along the Shaw Avenue and Cedar Avenue corridors, with the project theme “Bulldog Spirit” celebrating Fresno State and its influence in the Central Valley. Proposals must include a letter of interest, résumé, portfolio images, and conceptual renderings. The selected artists may receive up to three awards, with compensation of $1,000 per traffic cabinet design. Artwork must be original, suitable for all ages, free of words or letters, and designed for digital reproduction and installation by a licensed vendor.
