As-Needed Consultant Services for Disposal Site Water Monitoring
The City of San Diego Environmental Services Department is soliciting proposals from qualified environmental consulting firms to provide as-needed professional services related to landfill and disposal site water monitoring. The selected consultant will support the City with groundwater, surface water, leachate, and stormwater monitoring activities associated with disposal sites. Services include field sampling, environmental monitoring, laboratory coordination, quality assurance and quality control procedures, chain-of-custody documentation, and delivery of samples to certified laboratories. The consultant will also conduct data analysis, trend evaluation, and preparation of required regulatory reports such as annual and semiannual groundwater monitoring reports required under Waste Discharge Requirements and the Industrial General Permit. Additional responsibilities include reviewing and monitoring results following storm events and advising the City regarding exceedances of regulatory thresholds. The contract will operate on an as-needed basis through task orders issued by the City and will support regulatory compliance, environmental protection, and long-term monitoring of landfill and disposal site water systems.
