WHAT THEY WANT
(Summarized from the RFP)
The City of Long Beach is seeking individuals and professional consulting firms to supplement the Building and Safety Bureau of its Community Development Department with as-needed plan review, inspection and permit services. The need is temporary and recurring: vacancies and workforce shortages from turnover, retirements and medical leave, and reviews outside the expertise of City staff. The services are not meant to replace full-time staff, and inspection support is intended for periods of reduced coverage or a sudden surge in demand, such as one following a regional emergency.
