The City of South Gate is seeking proposals from qualified financial institutions to provide comprehensive banking and treasury management services for municipal operations. The selected institution will act as the City’s primary depository, supporting the secure management of public funds while enhancing operational efficiency and liquidity management. Services requested include core banking services, electronic funds transfers, automated clearinghouse payments, wire transfers, payroll direct deposit processing, account reconciliation, fraud-prevention tools such as Positive Pay, remote deposit capture, cash vault and coin services, and financial reporting tools. The contractor must also support integration with the City’s financial systems, provide online banking management tools, maintain robust cybersecurity controls, and deliver ongoing customer service. The City intends to establish a five-year agreement with optional extensions to ensure secure public fund management and improved cash management capabilities.
