WHAT THEY WANT

(Summarized from the RFP)

The California Department of Health Care Access and Information, through its Healthcare Analytics Branch, is seeking a consulting cardiologist to support the California Cardiovascular Outcomes Reporting Program. State law requires the department to publish risk-adjusted outcomes reports every year for the roughly 124 licensed hospitals that perform coronary artery bypass graft surgery. The main data source is clinical information that hospitals submit through an online reporting tool, and most of the data elements are drawn from a subset of those collected in the Society of Thoracic Surgeons Adult Cardiac Surgery Database. The department needs a physician expert to help its analysts interpret that clinical data accurately.

HOW TO SUBMIT

Proposals are submitted by email to pcs@hcai.ca.gov. Each proposal must cover all of the services described and include every document on the Required Attachment Checklist (Attachment 1); a proposal missing required attachments is rejected as non-responsive. Documents requiring a signature must carry an original signature from a person authorized to bind the firm, and the Proposal/Proposer Certification Sheet must state the signer's title. Written questions go by email to the project contact, Quica Teames. A proposal may be changed only by withdrawing it in writing and resubmitting. Alternate contract language is treated as a counter proposal and rejected, and the State's General Terms and Conditions are not negotiable.
