WHAT THEY WANT
(Summarized from the RFP)
The City of Lancaster is seeking a qualified professional traffic engineering firm to prepare a comprehensive, citywide program of Engineering and Traffic Surveys for 303 City-designated arterial and collector roadway locations, organized into four geographic zones. The central purpose is to establish current, legally defensible posted speed limits and to provide the documentation needed to support radar, laser and other electronic speed enforcement by law enforcement. The City's existing speed surveys are no longer current, its traffic volume maps were last comprehensively updated in 2014 and 2019, and development and capital improvements have changed operating conditions along many corridors.
