Community Assessment to Identify Behavioral Health Needs Gaps and Solutions
Deschutes County Health Services is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to conduct a comprehensive community assessment to identify behavioral health needs, service gaps, and potential solutions across Central Oregon. The assessment will support objectives within the Central Oregon Regional Health Improvement Plan and will involve collaboration with regional partners, including Crook County Health Services and the Central Oregon Suicide Prevention Alliance. The selected contractor will design and implement community-engaged research methods, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and listening sessions, with residents across multiple counties and tribal communities. Particular emphasis will be placed on engaging Latine communities and young adults aged 18–24 who experience behavioral health disparities related to access barriers, service availability, geographic distance, and cultural relevance of services. The contractor will coordinate with regional partners, collect qualitative and quantitative data, analyze the findings, and produce a final report that identifies behavioral health service gaps, community priorities, and recommended improvements. Findings will inform coordinated strategies to strengthen equitable behavioral health supports and improve access to culturally responsive services throughout the region.
