The City of Salinas Public Works Department is seeking qualified consulting services to support the design and preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for the San Juan Grade Road Sidewalk and Street Lighting Improvements Project. The consultant will assist with the development of design documents for new solar-powered street lighting and solar radar feedback signs along San Juan Grade Road between approximately 700 feet south of East Boronda Road and 600 feet north of Van Buren Avenue. Services include site investigation, field reviews, mapping of existing infrastructure, photometric analysis, preparation of 60%, 90%, and final Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E), and coordination with City staff. The consultant will also support project bidding and provide construction-phase assistance, including responding to requests for information, reviewing submittals, and attending kickoff meetings as needed. The project is intended to improve pedestrian safety and roadway visibility through the installation of new sidewalks, solar lighting systems, and traffic safety feedback signage.
