Snohomish County is seeking a qualified consulting firm to support a comprehensive redesign of the County’s main public website, snohomishcountywa.gov. The work focuses on improving information architecture, user experience, design, governance, and ADA accessibility for a large CivicPlus-hosted website with approximately 3,000 active webpages, 10,000 documents and images, dozens of webforms, and nearly one million monthly page views. The selected consultant will evaluate and document the current website, County needs and goals, and gaps in the defined scope; propose a future-state design, governance model, ADA compliance approach, and implementation methodology; and help implement the redesign with County support. The project prioritizes information architecture and user experience/design, followed by governance and ADA compliance. While the initial focus is the main County website, the contract may later be amended to include other County websites or consolidation work if additional funding becomes available.
