Mendocino County Department of Transportation is seeking proposals from qualified engineering consulting firms to provide full-service planning, engineering, environmental review, surveying, hydraulic analysis, and assessment district support services for the Covelo Fire Hydrant Planning Project. The project aims to improve fire protection infrastructure in the unincorporated community of Covelo, California, which currently lacks a fire hydrant system and reliable fire suppression water supply. The selected consultant will support development of preliminary engineering, environmental compliance, hydraulic modeling, geotechnical investigations, and preparation of Plans, Specifications, and Estimates for a proposed fire water distribution system. Services also include assessment district analysis and support for Local Agency Formation Commission ballot documentation to establish long-term maintenance funding.
