Elections Ranked Choice Voting Education Grant
Multnomah County is offering a grant program to fund community-based organizations that will deliver nonpartisan ranked choice voting education to residents of East Multnomah County outside the City of Portland. The initiative supports countywide implementation of ranked choice voting in the November 2026 election. The County seeks culturally and linguistically responsive outreach that increases voter awareness, builds confidence in using ranked choice ballots, and ensures equitable access to election information. Funded organizations will conduct direct voter contact, community events, material distribution, digital outreach, and mock elections that allow hands-on practice. Grantees must reach at least 5,000 potential voters and conduct at least one mock election engaging 100 participants. The Elections Division will provide training, educational materials, and a mock election platform. The total funding pool is $100,000, with four to five grants of $20,000 supporting outreach, education, and reporting activities between May and November 2026.
