Environmental Hazards and Development Safety Evaluation
The City of Jurupa Valley is seeking qualified environmental consulting firms to conduct a comprehensive Environmental Hazards and Development Safety Evaluation for the North Pyrite Master Plan Area, located adjacent to the Stringfellow Superfund Site. The purpose of the study is to provide defensible, science-based findings to guide City Council decisions regarding future land use, zoning, and development. The selected consultant will assess human health risks, groundwater conditions, structural impacts to remediation infrastructure, extreme storm event scenarios, and downstream public safety risks. The scope includes regulatory records review, limited targeted sampling if necessary, risk characterization, remediation coordination with the United States Environmental Protection Agency and the California Department of Toxic Substances Control, geographic information systems mapping, and preparation of technical and public-facing reports. The final deliverables will support California Environmental Quality Act documentation, policy decisions, and long-term regulatory compliance.
