WHAT THEY WANT
(Summarized from the RFP)
The City of Brea is seeking a qualified consulting firm to update the Brea Fire Department's Community Risk Assessment and Standards of Cover and to carry out a broader assessment of the Department. The City last completed this study in 2022 using data gathered largely during the COVID-19 pandemic, which no longer reflects current demand. Since then Brea has seen continued development, the launch of a City-operated ambulance transportation program, changes in deployment, and evolving wildfire and community risk. The Department operates four fire stations, three frontline engines, one truck company and two 24-hour ambulances, with about 50 sworn personnel and roughly 5,700 emergency incidents a year, about 74 percent of them medical.
