WHAT THEY WANT
(Summarized from the RFP)
Santa Cruz County seeks a single contractor to provide first-tier conflict indigent defense services: criminal defense representation in cases the County's Office of the Public Defender cannot take because of an ethical conflict or conflict of interest. The current contracted conflicts firm's agreement ends June 30, 2027. The new provider is expected to begin accepting cases on July 1, 2027, with possible administrative transition work from March 2027 for cases moving over from the current vendor.
