WHAT THEY WANT
(Summarized from the RFP)
Clackamas County seeks a forensic psychologist or firm to conduct fitness-to-proceed evaluations for its Rapid Forensic Assessment Program. The program serves defendants with serious and persistent mental illness who are involved with the justice system solely because of a mental health condition and are charged with low-level crimes. The goal is to shorten jail stays and reduce recidivism by connecting these individuals with community-based services, programs and treatment. Clients may be in the custody of the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office or enrolled in the County Behavioral Health Division's Community Restoration Program.
