Forest Biosolids Record Creation and Site Layout
King County is seeking qualified consultants to provide technical services for forest biosolids site layout, record creation, and field support activities in western Washington. The selected contractor will assist the Department of Natural Resources and Parks, Wastewater Treatment Division, in preparing forestlands for biosolids application. Services include site reconnaissance, boundary and buffer flagging, layout of application units and compartments, and documentation of site-specific data. The consultant will also develop and submit Geographic Information System-compatible datasets, technical reports, and field documentation to support biosolids management operations. The work involves both field and office tasks, including project management, coordination, and compliance with site-specific land application plans. Biosolids, a nutrient-rich byproduct of wastewater treatment, are applied to forestlands to support plant growth and sustainable land use. The contract will operate on a work order basis, with varying workloads depending on program needs.
