Inglewood Intelligent Transit System
The City of Inglewood is seeking proposals to design, integrate, deploy, and support an Intelligent Transit System (IITS) as part of its broader Inglewood Transit Connector program. The project focuses on improving transit operations during major events by implementing transit signal priority, real-time vehicle tracking, and system-wide communication infrastructure. The selected contractor will provide a comprehensive solution that integrates with existing traffic management systems, supports multimodal transportation, and enhances traffic flow, safety, and reliability. The system must be interoperable with current infrastructure, scalable for future expansion, and capable of delivering performance analytics and reporting. Additional responsibilities include system testing, staff training, cybersecurity implementation, and ongoing maintenance. The project aims to reduce congestion, improve shuttle efficiency, and support major events such as the 2028 Olympic Games while enhancing overall urban mobility.
