King County is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide comprehensive insurance brokerage and risk management services for the County’s extensive public sector operations. The selected broker will support the Office of Risk Management Services in managing insurance portfolio placement, policy administration, claims assistance, loss control, risk assessment, and strategic insurance planning. Services include brokerage and placement of casualty, property, cyber, marine, aviation, workers’ compensation, and specialty insurance coverages, as well as administration of surety bonds and support for capital improvement project insurance needs. The broker will also provide guidance on emerging risks, claims coordination, underwriting strategy, policy negotiations, risk modeling, and public entity insurance trends. The contract term is five years with options for two additional one-year extensions.
