Library Business Music Streaming Solution
Multnomah County Library is seeking information from vendors that can provide a business music streaming solution for use across library spaces and events. The library system serves more than 800,000 residents across Portland and Multnomah County and operates numerous programs and public events where recorded music is used to support programming, ambience, and community engagement. The requested solution should allow the library to stream music across multiple branches and spaces simultaneously while enabling centralized or localized control of playlists. Vendors should provide tools for creating custom playlists, supporting multiple access platforms such as mobile devices and laptops, and maintaining family-friendly filtering. The system should also support music licensing coverage for the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, Broadcast Music Incorporated, Society of European Stage Authors and Composers, and Global Music Rights. Additional features include scheduling playlists for events or seasons, supporting announcements or promotional interruptions, and offering technical support and government pricing models. Information collected through this Request for Information will help the County understand available market solutions and may inform a future solicitation.
