WHAT THEY WANT
(Summarized from the RFP)
Thurston County's Public Health and Social Services Department, Environmental Health Division, is seeking a qualified, commercially licensed contractor to provide algae control treatment for Long Lake, a 330-acre lake in suburban Lacey, Washington, on behalf of the Long Lake Management District. Algal toxins in the lake pose a major health concern, and the goal is to target and sequester the available phosphorus in the water column so that algal blooms occur less often and with less intensity on a continuous basis. Phosphorus control has been under way on Long Lake since 1994.
