Marina Lagoon Operations and Maintenance Permit Assistance
The City of San Mateo is seeking qualified consulting firms to provide comprehensive permit assistance services for the ongoing operations and maintenance of the Marina Lagoon. The selected firm will support the City in securing and renewing key environmental regulatory permits required for routine lagoon activities, including dredging, vegetation management, dock maintenance, and stormwater infrastructure upkeep. The project involves coordination with multiple regulatory agencies and preparation of documentation in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), including potential environmental review analyses such as categorical exemptions or initial studies. The consultant will also prepare technical reports, update operational manuals, and provide annual reporting and permit support over a five-year period. The goal is to ensure continued regulatory compliance while maintaining the lagoon’s ecological integrity, flood control function, and recreational value.
