The City of Bakersfield is seeking qualified consultants to provide marketing, branding, graphic design, and web design services that support business retention, expansion, and attraction initiatives. The selected consultant will develop a range of economic development marketing materials intended to position Bakersfield as a destination for innovation, investment, workforce growth, and business opportunity. Deliverables include promotional brochures, economic incentive materials, workforce development marketing packages, investment prospectuses for Opportunity Zones, economic snapshot presentations, and awareness-building campaigns. The project supports implementation of the City’s Economic Development Strategic Plan, General Plan Update, B3K Prosperity initiative, and California Jobs First Regional Plan. The consultant will be responsible for research, data collection, design, messaging, graphics, and development of digital and print-ready materials aligned with the City’s branding guidelines. Materials are intended to attract domestic and international businesses in industries such as advanced manufacturing, logistics, energy, agriculture technology, aerospace, and business services.
