WHAT THEY WANT
(Summarized from the RFP)
The City of Sacramento's Department of Community Response is seeking an organization to serve as Organizational Representative Payee for seniors living at the City's new micro-community sites. The micro-communities provide interim supportive shelter for unhoused seniors aged 55 and older on fixed incomes, referred from the City's emergency shelters, with access to basic sanitation and case management; the first site is tentatively scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2027. Participants will contribute up to 30% of their gross income as a program fee, and participants are expected to receive Social Security or Supplemental Security Income. The City does not currently contract for representative payee or similar services, and these services will be paid by the department at no cost to participants.
