WHAT THEY WANT
(Summarized from the RFP)
The Port of Long Beach is seeking qualified consultants to provide on-call professional clean energy and operational resiliency services in support of its Zero Emissions, Energy Resilient Operations (ZEERO) policy. Adopted in 2023, the policy guides the Port toward its own carbon-neutral future while encouraging the wider commercial maritime and goods movement industry to follow. The Port's Environmental Planning Division leads this work, with a focus on emerging near-zero- and zero-emission technologies and their supporting infrastructure, alternative fuels, decarbonization, and power continuity planning.
